PDF Security Settings

CAS-UB is compatible with the commonly used PDF security settings (e.g., the settings utilized by Adobes PDF Reader) defined in the ISO 32000-1 which outlines the industry standards for PDFs. These security measures are, however, in no way related to the management and distribution rights of e-books (e.g., Digital Rights Management), nor do they have any bearing on issues pertaining to authorship and/or copyright.
